Do you have problems shaping curves?
When starting with square or rectangular stock it is sometimes difficult to get the shape right, especially at the final sanding.
The secret is in how you do the sanding as the natural way to follow the curve with the sanding block - often leaving lots of flat spots.
The secret is to rock the sanding block away from the curve as you sand across it - this will then naturally result in a smooth curve shape.
So as you push the block forward you lift the front of the block and lower the rear so the angle of the block is changing rather than fixed.
