When nylon wing bolts break, how do you get them out when the break point is in the nut area so you can grip it with pliers?
A tip passed to me by Trevor Spray is to simply heat up a screwdriver tip until it is nice and hot then push it into the remains of the shank.
This has the effect of both moulding a screw slot to grip on to and also melting the nylon to help stick it to the screwdriver blade and with a bit of perseverance the bolt shank can be extracted.
