Whilst chatting at the last indoor flying meeting I mentioned a few old models that I have built and a few members expressed an interest in seeing them. Some of the models are now either sold or were "shot" down in combat" so to speak. As and when I find pictures I'll add them here for interest to demonstrate what can be scratch built from foam and paper at 1/12 scale.
The first model is a Dornier Do335 Pfeil (Arrow) which was powered by 2x0.15cu.in engines, one at the back and one at the front. The model flew well providing the front engine was running (singular or as a twin). Flying with just the rear engine was "exciting" to say the least

The next is a twin ic powered (with props not impellors) Messerschmitt Me262. This model is now 8 years old and has yet to fly....mainly because it has a scale wing and looks massively over powered. One day........

The build technique is identical to the Myrsky on my other thread

following on with the Finnish fighter (Myrsky) theme here is a picture of my Hawker Hurricane also in Finnish markings. This model has awesome performance with an MVVS 0.21 engine but is unlikely to pass a club noise test so will not fly except in competition. This model is a veteran of last years combat visit to France having jousted with a mix of French and German pilots....fantastic fun and friendly rivalry.
